Yuan Ming

Yuan Ming is professor and vice dean of the School of International Studies at Beijing University. She also serves as director of the Institute of International Relations and the American Studies Center at Beijing University. From 1997 to 2001, she was a visiting scholar at The Brookings Institution, Washington, DC. Prior to that, she served as visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Washington, DC. Professor Yuan has published widely on United States-China relations, foreign policy, culture, and international relations. She is recognized as one of the most influential Chinese scholars in the field of Chinese-American relations. Professor Yuan serves on numerous boards and advisory committees including the Foundation of International Strategic Studies, the Committee of United States-China Trade, and the Advisory Committee for the Northeast Asia Program at The Brookings Institution, Washington, DC. Professor Yuan is vice president and secretary general of the Beijing Women Professors` Association.
