Chu Shulong is currently a professor of political science and international relations at the School of Public Policy and Management and director of the Institute of Strategic Studies at Tsinghua University. He was a senior fellow at the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations from 1994 until recently. He is also a council member of Chinese Association for American Studies, the Council on Security Cooperation in Asia-Pacific, and the Association of Sino-US Relations. He served as the director for North American Studies at the Air Force College of China. He received his Ph.D. in political science from George Washington University and an M.A. in law from the Beijing University of International Relations. Dr. Chu's major area of research covers American politics and foreign policy, Sino-US relations, Asian security and China's foreign and security strategies.
